The Compatibility Study of Sentinel 1 Multitemporal Analysis For River-Flood Detection, Study Case: Bogowonto River

Flooding is a common natural disaster in Purworejo District, which can be caused by the overflowing of Bogowonto River. The use multitemporal analysis with Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images, such as Sentinel-1, has potential to aid flood inundation detection for mitigation area. However, there not been any research examining compatibility using Sentinel-1 images susceptibility characteristics This study aims evaluate this SWOT analysis. results show that suitable detecting River due difficulties finding right acquisition time at event. duration floods approximately 1-2 days, while earliest reacquisition 12 days. Additionally, band C have limitations under vegetation.
